Preparing your home for a Photo & Video Shoot

You get one chance to make a first Impression ...Let’s make it a GREAT ONE!

Outside Preparation
Remove all cars from the driveway and the front of the home
Make sure that all doors are closed during photos & video
Be sure to hide any garden hoses or trash cans you may have
Clean manicured landscaping
No holiday decorations
No promotional or political signs on the property


Inside your home
Turn on all lights
Open all window treatments. (unless of course the view is not desirable)
De-clutter,De-clutter, De-clutter.....
Remove all child and or pet gates during the shoot
Put away the children’s toys or shift to another room they should not be in photo/video
Scale down on family photos
Remove holiday decorations

Bathrooms
Bath Mats up.
De-clutter counter tops (remove tooth brushes, makeup & razors)
Remove all bottles, sponges, or anything that can be seen through the glass doors
Toilet seats down
Remove any robes or towels hanging on hooks.


Kitchen
Remove all small appliances from counter tops
Put away all dishes & drying rack
No dishes, sponges or dish soaps
Take down magnets/ photos or items on front and top of the refrigerator
Hide garbage can and pet dishes

Bedrooms, den, & family room are to be as neat as possible.
